Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company Opens Logistics Services Center to Streamline Operations
In alignment with the directives of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt to position the country as a global logistics hub, and under the continued guidance of His Excellency Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, to accelerate customs clearance times and in continuation of the company’s regional leadership in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) and Egypt’s recognition in global container handling rankings as the leading container terminal operator in the Middle East – Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company is proud to announce the official inauguration of its Logistics Services Center.
The inauguration took place in the presence of the chairman and members of the board of directors, headed by Mr. Ahmed El-Mutawa, and was attended by Dr. Sami Ramadan, deputy head of the Customs Authority (representing the minister of finance), as well as Admiral Ehab Salah, chairman of Alexandria Port Authority.
This milestone reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to enhancing service quality, streamlining procedures, and maximizing convenience for our valued clients. The new center has been established through effective collaboration with the Port Authority, the Customs Authority, and inspection entities and will serve as a single-window hub for completing all container-related inspections, examinations, and release processes—excluding refrigerated and hazardous containers.
This strategic initiative is a key step in our ongoing efforts to modernize the working environment and ensure efficient, smooth, and timely operations that directly benefit our clients.
The Logistics Services Center at the Commercial Yard will officially commence operations on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
