Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Company
Alexandria container and cargo handling company is the first specialized container handling company in Egypt, It was established in 1984 to provide all activities related to container handling.
The company operates two main terminals: Alexandria terminal in Alexandria port and El Dekheila terminal in Dekheila port.
Al-Dekheila terminal was started in 1996, the Alexandria container and cargo handling company obtained the quality certificates since 1998, the company seeks to meet the customer’s demands and the interested parties, in addition to the requirements of the international standards for the quality , safety and environment according to the below specifications:

Admiral/Alaa Mohamed Ibrahim is currently the executive managing director of Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling company, A strategic leader with a proven track record in managing container handling companies, he excels at problem-solving for shipping Lines, clients and employees. he believes in prudent management of company resources.
Prior to his current role, Alaa Ibrahim served as CEO of Damietta container handling company for four successful successive years from 2019 till 2023.
Previously, he held the positions of vice chairman for El Dekhilla terminal between 2016 and 2019 and CEO for Port Said container handling company between 2014 and 2015.
He is known for his collaborative communication style, which he effectively utilized when working with cross functional teams.
Admiral/ Alaa Ibrahim’s distinguished military career included roles such as Head of Torpedo and Mines division, he got a medal for good service in 2003, A certification of solitary leadership, and also he got a military duty assignment second class of the first graduates of military colleges.
Admiral Alaa holds a master’s degree in Logistics and International Transport, a Diploma in creativity in Decision Making and a Bachelor’s degree in science and Military studies.
He graduated from the Egyptian Naval College in 1983.

Strong business development professional, Mr. Ahmad Almutawa appointed the Regional CEO at Abu Dhabi ports group in 2022, before that he was the CEO of Abu Dhabi Terminals between 2019 and 2022, also he was the CEO of Fujairh Terminals between 2017 and 2019, Mr. Ahmad Almutawa holds Master of Business administration-MBA from Middlesex University, TGM certification from Insead Executive Education, and he graduated from lloyds maritime academy.

Dr Islam El-Nakib, board member at Alexandria Container and cargo handling company,Islam El-Nakib curretly is Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – College of International Transport and Logistics, Alexandria.
He is the Dean of College of International Transport and Logistics in El Alamein Campus. He was the Deputy President for Transport and Logistics Affairs (AASTMT). Prof. El-Nakib is the director of NCC Egypt for the Logistics European Association (ELA).
He is a Senior Logistics Expert for Logismed Project for Egypt and Jordan. He was the president of Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals – Egypt Roundtable. Prof. El-Nakib was the Dean of International Transport and Logistics Institute (ITLI), AASTMT, in Alexandria . He currently teaches Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management in several postgraduate programs.
Prof. El-Nakib is delivering professional courses in Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics, Retailing Management, Principles of Transport Management, Quality Management, E-Logistics and Ports Operations in the BSc program, and has taught in several of the AASTMT Executive Education courses for general managers, including Managing the Supply Chain; Operations; Retailing; and Managing Orders, Vendors, and Customers.
Prof. El-Nakib’s current research focuses on agility and e-supply chain applications and Supply Chain performance.
Prof. El-Nakib holds a BSc degree in International Transport Management, Nottingham Trent University in the UK. He obtained his MSc in Trade Logistics, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt and a PhD in Supply Chain Management, Liverpool John Moores University in the UK.
Prof. El-Nakib is a certified trainer by FIATA, IRU and ELA. He has published several research topics in distribution, logistics, supply chain management, recycling, e-logistics and logistics service providers.
He consults and teaches several professional training courses at several major multinational corporations in the field of Supply Chain Management.

Dr.Nagwa Gaber Shehata, Board member at Alexandria Container and cargo handling company, Lady of difficult tasks, She is currently the head of the Central administration of Customs policies and procedures, She previously was given the responsibility of managing the work of this role in 2021 until she was appointed in 2023, also she is the chairman of Customs Disputes Committee for the Northern and Southern Regions specialized in resolving the obstacles facing the export sector at customs ports.
Dr.Nagwa held various senior management roles within customs authority most notably was General Director of the General administration of the head of the systems and procedures sector, also she participated in a variety of committees and programs that enabled her to lead with the mentality of a professional researcher who has many alternatives and realistic solutions to challenges.
Dr.Nagwa holds PhD in business administration from Helwan University, an Honors Master’s degree in foreign trade logistics management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime, and a bachelor’s degree in commerce, financial and customs studies from Alexandria University.

Mrs Abir Leheta, board member of Alexandria Container and cargo handling company, fast learner, honest and result oriented, she joined Egytrans in 1996 as head of software development and was appointed CEO in 2015, thereby becoming the first woman chair in the 45 year history of Egytrans. Recognized by Forbes as one of the Middle East’s 100 Power Businesswomen in 2020, 2023 and 2024, also She was named one of the “Top 50 Women Performing in Egypt” by Amwal Al Ghad magazine .
Abir’s record of transformative leadership is demonstrated through successfully implementing programs and services that have significantly changed EGYTRANS ,Abir Leheta has 27 years of industry experience. In October 2023, she became the advisory council co-chair at the AUC School of Business Executive Education. She is also co-chair of the AmCham Transport and Logistics Committee, the vice chair of the Transport Committee of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, chair of the African Women’s Committee of the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association, and a board treasurer at the Global Compact Network Egypt.
Abir holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a Minor in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. Abir leheta went on to attain accreditations in a number of areas including certifications in Quality and Organizational Excellence from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and Board Member Certification from the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD).

Admiral Ahmed Hawash, Board member at Alexandria Container and cargo handling company, born in 1965, Visionary leader who looks for faster and better ways to accomplish goals and reliable professional with deep understanding and strong experience of working in port and container terminal operations, Currently he is the CEO of Alexandria Port Authority, he was appointed the chairman of Damietta port authority between 2022 and 2024, Admiral Ahmed Hawash previously held several important military positions highlighted by Commander of the second Brigade ,Chief of Alexandria Naval base staff, Chief of Suez Naval base staff, Commander of Matruh Naval base and assistant chief of Red Sea Port Authority, he got many Medals due to his excellence.
Admiral Ahmed Hawash holds Master of Logistics and Maritime transport from Arab academy for science, technology and Maritime, Master of Military Science, the fellowship from Nasser military academy, in addition to PhD in ports’ Management and operation and bachelor’s degree in maritime science and studies, also he got many other courses in military and civilian fields inside and outside Egypt.

Mr. Mohammed Al Tamimi, board member of Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Company, currently he is the CEO of the Ports International Operating Company (PIOC), subsidiary of AD Ports Group.
Mr. Al Tamimi has over 20 years of experience in ports, maritime, logistic, sustainability, and crisis management. He joined AD Ports Group in March 2009 and served as VP Corporate HSSE, where he established world class HSSE standards across the group. He later took on the role of Deputy CEO at the CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal – Khalifa Port, where he played a key role in driving the terminal’s growth and fostering a strategic partnership with COSCO SHIPPING. Prior to joining AD Ports Group, he worked in ADNOC Group within crisis management and onboard oil & gas vessels.
Mr. Al Tamimi holds a Master of Business Administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi and a Higher National Diploma in Marine Engineering from South Tyneside College in the UK. He also holds an Officer of the Watch-Marine Engineering Certificate of Competency for steam and motor ships.

Mr. Saif Al Mazrouei, Board member at Alexandria Container and cargo handling company, Strong leader with an excellent communication and strategic planning skills, He is currently the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports cluster, He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of ports and the shipping and retail sector, he has streamlined the operations for the Ports cluster within Abu Dhabi Ports via calculated operational plans which have been cascaded across the group’s other ports and terminals, These initiatives have assisted in the growth, progress and market leading position of Abu Dhabi Ports not only in the region but, also as a global competitor, This aligns with Abu Dhabi Government’s vision to diversify the economy of the emirate with non-oil revenue, Before being appointed to his current position, Saif Al Mazroui held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Khalifa Port.
Before that, he was Executive Director at Abu Dhabi ports group. Before joining Abu Dhabi ports group, he served as board member of the Al Habtoor group, and also held the position of Director of Relations and community communications in the group. Al-Mazroui also has a vast wealth of experience gained by working in several positions in the Union Cooperative Society and DB World, where he has been distinguished in building and managing growth businesses, developing new business lines, and implementing new systems and monitoring processes that achieve change, Mr. Saif Al-Mazroui holds Bachelor’s degree in Science and Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a major in Geography from Beirut University, Lebanon.

Mr. Hamdi Nadrah, Board member of Alexandria Container and cargo handling company, he has nearly 23 years of industry expertise backed by a distinguished career in international trade, shipping and logistics, Currently is the Deputy chief executive officer of Red sea Gateway terminal at Jeddah Islamic port, also he is the vice chairman of the logistics council JCCL, in addition of being a member of the advisory council of Jeddah port.
Mr. Hamdi Nadrah began his career as director sugar trading at Savolo group between 2001and 2007, then he move to be Senior head strategic planning and business development at RSGT Sisco group from 2007 to 2011, after that he return once again to Savolo group to hold the Executive director position from 2011 to 2012, in 2013 he was appointed as Executive Director strategic projects till 2015.
Mr. Hamdi Nadrah holds Master of Engineering at industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, and Master Business Administration from TRIUM Global Executive MBA at London.

He is in charge of various roles, the most notable of which are Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moharram Group Companies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Advisory Center for Marine Pollution Control in addition to his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Company for Environmental Research and Studies and Maritime Transport Technology.
Dr. Muharram participated in many scientific conferences and seminars, and also supervised many masters and doctoral thesis in the field of environmental studies, environmental protection, renewable energy, and maritime transport technology.
It is worth noting that he has many researches and articles in the field of environmental protection, energy and maritime transport published in many international scientific journals and bulletins, In addition to his extensive experience in the academic field where he is a professor and lecturer at the College of Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, He is also a lecturer for many courses in both the ports of Jeddah and Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in several fields, the most important of which is dealing with dangerous goods, in addition to his lectures in colleges and other institutes.
Dr. Muharram holds a PhD in environmental engineering, maritime transport, and marine environmental protection technology, a master’s degree in marine environmental protection technology, a master’s in business administration from the American University, a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Alexandria University, a postgraduate diploma in marine pollution control and seaports from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment, Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Transport Economics, Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Transport Logistics and Supply Chains.

Mr. Assem Mohamed Fahmy Ragab, board member of the board of Directors of Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company, distinguished leadership where He has vast experience in leadership positions for many international and local organizations that reached about 35 years of experience.
He now is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Misr Insurance Holding Company, in addition of being the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar National Bank Al Ahli, since 2022.
Previously he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Crédit Agricole Egypt Development Bank Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole Egypt between 2017 to 2022, and an executive partner in the securities business and financial advisory company Fact between 1999 and 2020, and coinciding with his presidency of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Investment, he also held the position Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Economic Zone at the period from 2007 to 2010
He was also a member of the Board of Directors of several companies highlighted by Credit Agricole Egypt Bank, the Egyptian Directors Center, the Social Fund for Development and the National Bank of Egypt between 2007 and 2010, the Competition Protection and Antitrust Agency between 2007 and 2010, the National Investment Bank between 2007 and 2010, the General Authority for Industrial Development, representing the Ministry of Investment. He participated in establishing the Ayadi Investment and Development Company initiative.
He also held the position of Senior Director of Investment Banking and Structured Finance at Barclays Bank and Director of Business Consulting at Accenture between 1991 and 1997, and Director of Operations at Procter & Gamble between 1998 and 1991. He also worked at Arthur Anderson company.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the American University at Cairo and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Alexandria University.

On 16/1/2005, according to the legislation of the Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones No. 460 of 2005, Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company to operate the Free Zones System at Alexandria and El-Dekheila Container Stations and Multi-Purpose Stations Management.
